Oyisa loves fruits—sweet mangoes, juicy pears, and tasty oranges. But she hates the seeds! They’re bitter, stick in her teeth, and get in the way of her enjoyment. One day, she spits some seeds onto the ground—and to her amazement, a plant begins to grow. As the days pass, it becomes a tree so big and leafy that Oyisa can swing from it, climb it, and dream in it. She finally understands that seeds are precious—they help new life begin.
