At the foot of the majestic Kanchenjunga in Sikkim, India, a school fosters a strong sense of caring and sharing, values that are key to inclusive education. When a new student joins the class, two students are selected by the teacher to show him around, and make him feel welcome and comfortable. We gain insight into the school’s rich traditions, such as the Dharma class, where students practice meditation to the soothing sound of the singing bowl, a tradition that promotes peace and mindfulness. This story highlights the universal truth that, while people live in different parts of the world and follow diverse traditions, we all share the same core values. Caring and sharing unite us, creating bonds across cultures and reminding us of our shared humanity.
