

Shamim Padamsee – President
Shamim Padamsee has been through several avatars in her life – author, educationist, social worker, businesswoman, and diplomat. She founded Young India Books, a website that reviewed and promoted Indian books for children. She has served in various positions in the Aga Khan network. She is passionately interested in children’s literature and believes that books are important learning tools.
Azim Mazgaonwalla – Director
Azim Mazagonwalla, CPA is the CFO at Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation (MLAC) the largest funder of civil legal aid in Massachusetts. As CFO he is responsible for finance, accounting, human resources, administration and grants distribution and oversight. Apart from an active role at Zamasama, Azim chairs the Audit Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Association, the national Diversity, Equityand Inclusion board of the CFO- Leadership Council and volunteers with the Ismaili Professional Network.


Adil Nathani – Director
Adil Nathani is chief risk officer for QMS Capital Management in Durham, NC. He holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where he currently serves on the Board of Visitors. Adil also serves on the Board of Directors for Community Access Inc., the Advisory Board of Sakhi for South Asian Women, and the Board of Directors of BondXN.
Antum Panjwani – Director
Dr. Antum Panjwani is a passionate “teachers’ teacher”, with 37 years of diverse international educational leadership experience training and mentoring teachers/instructors. Dr. Antum is an Ontario (CAN) certified teacher and a seasoned researcher with substantial publications and 5 graduate degrees, including an MA, MPhil, and Ph.D. from India, and an MA and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, Canada. She has also completed MLE program from Harvard University.


Michael Harley – Director
Mike Harley is Executive Director of Environmental Initiative, a nonprofit organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and working across the United States. Mike brings 27 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, finance, fundraising, strategic planning, communications and community engagement.Mike is also a leader in his faith community and serves on multiple groups advancing social, racial and environmental justice among people of faith.
Khalil Pirani – Director
Khalil Pirani is a practicing architect with over 25 years of experience in Boston, MA. He attended MIT for his master’s in architecture and the University of Pennsylvania for his undergraduate studies. He is licensed in the states of New York and Massachusetts. Khalil has been a Visiting Scholar at MIT, has written several articles about architecture and cultural sensitivity.
