About The Story

Creativity and inventiveness are universal. Throughout history, people worldwide have made groundbreaking contributions: India introduced the concept of zero, the Middle East developed precision surgical procedures, and China created paper. However, many educational curricula, especially those influenced by the West, often overlook innovations from the Global South, leading to diminished pride in one’s cultural heritage. Dré noticed his school focused only on American inventors, neglecting the contributions of African American innovators. His father showed him that creativity knows no boundaries—every culture has faced challenges and found solutions, regardless of race or tradition.
