Library Lovers Day
14th February

HISTORICAL
The Strahov Library in Prague is like stepping into a magical storybook! This beautiful library was built hundreds of years ago and has over 200,000 books! Its ceilings and walls are covered with colorful paintings made by a famous Italian artist. Long ago, even Napoleon’s wife, Marie Louise, visited and loved it so much that she gave the library some of her own books.

CONTEMPORARY
La Tête Carrée Library in France is truly one of the most curious libraries in the world. This massive 85-foot-tall (28 meters) sculpture doubles as a library and office space, with three floors for books and four for offices. Nicknamed “Thinking Inside the Box,” it was inaugurated in 2002 as the first inhabited monumental sculpture. It’s both a marvel of architecture and a celebration of knowledge in the most unique way!

INNOVATIVE
In Mongolia, Jambyn Dashdondog created a traveling library that felt like magic. For 20 years, he rode camels and oxcarts, delivering books to children in remote areas without libraries. Picture a reading room under a vast blue sky, framed by green mountains, and filled with the joy of stories. His Camelback Library brought hope and imagination to thousands, proving every child deserves the gift of reading.
