CONTEMPORARY

La Tête Carrée Library in France is truly one of the most curious libraries in the world. This massive 85-foot-tall (28 meters) sculpture doubles as a library and office space. Nicknamed "Thinking Inside the Box," it was inaugurated in 2002 as the first inhabited monumental sculpture. It’s both a marvel of architecture and a celebration of knowledge!

INNOVATIVE

The Camelback Library in Mongolia was a unique and inspiring initiative led by Jambyn Dashdondog. For 20 years, he traveled across the country using camels and oxcarts to bring books to children in remote areas without libraries. This "library on the move" transformed Mongolia’s vast landscapes into magical reading spaces, where mountains became walls, the sky a ceiling, and meadows the floor.
